This is a question I always get when friends and family are upgrading to a newer machine. I’ve always donated older machines to the Good Will or to non-profit organizations. However, if over the years you’ve accumulated gigs of files/photos/music, I’ve always suggested using the drive strictly for file storage (no need to fill your new machine with old files).
