Way to go Watson!

“it was a dominant performance by IBM’s massive machine, which has been in development for years and has the processing power of 2,800 powerful computers.”

Anyone keeping up with Watson? Interested to see where this goes, however, I can’t help but think of the movie “Terminator” as Watson tries to outdo his human counter-parts.

The big switch: AT&T to Verizon for the iPhone

“Fans of the iPhone are practically foaming at the mouth at the idea of being able to use the popular Apple device on Verizon’s network, which many consider the nation’s most reliable.”

Excitement over Verizon’s announcement that the iPhone will be available next month, have many pondering how many users will leave AT&T for Verizon’s network. To those who are pondering the switch, be aware of the cost. www.cnn.com/tech

I’m sticking with my Motorola Droid right now (likely to upgrade to the Bionic once it is available). I’ve decided to give Verizon a little more time to battle test their network and work on improvements to the technology backbone. Lifehacker gives a brief description of the differences between the two carriers as it pertains to the iPhone.

Wireless at Work

“Having the ability to connect to the internet anywhere we go is undoubtedly awesome, but it isn’t the only gift Wi-Fi technology has given us. Here are our 10 favorite uses for Wi-Fi that go beyond accessing to the web.”

I’ve done 6 of the 10 on this list…what about you? The article also missed connecting your Playstation 3 (I’m hard wired, but I’ve set up a friend with wireless due to his game room being away from his router).

Do you have a use for wireless not mentioned on the list?
